Proverbs 21:20 Treasure And Oil In The Dwelling Of The Wise

Proverbs 21:20 (KJV) There is treasure to be desired and oil in the dwelling of the wise; but a foolish man spendeth it up.

The wise man saves and treasures up that it may be dispensed wisely. Joseph saved for Egypt in the time of plenty so that the granary could be opened in the days of famine.

The foolish would squander all that he has and be left in poverty in time of need. Contrast the wise and the foolish.

The wise man saves that he may give. There is treasure to be desired and oil in the dwelling of the wise. Amen.
