Hebrews 10:24-25 Not Forsaking The Assembly Of Ourselves Together

Hebrews 10:24-25 (KJV) And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: 25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

“To forsake” is to leave behind and to abandon. And “to provoke” is in a positive sense incitement, encouragement, stimulation. The end of it is to love and good works for the believer that comes through corporate worship and prayer.

The Lord is coming again, we are in the last, last hour of human history. And the people of God need to assemble to be strong as God’s witness as the day approaches.

The isolated believer is vulnerable to the attack of the evil one! And it is the prerogative of the people of God to nudge each other in the family and in the church family to meet for fellowship. This fellowship is in and with the Father and the Son Jesus Christ. Amen.
