Numbers 10:8-9 Ye Shall Be Remembered Before The LORD Your God
Numbers 10:8-9 (KJV) And the sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow with the trumpets; and they shall be to you for an ordinance forever throughout your generations. 9 And if ye go to war in your land against the enemy that oppresseth you, then ye shall blow an alarm with the trumpets; and ye shall be remembered before the LORD your God, and ye shall be saved from your enemies.
In times of danger, the children of Israel were commanded to blow the trumpets, as a signal to the LORD to come to their aid. It is cited here the time of the invasion of the enemy that oppresses God’s people.
They are commanded to blow the trumpets as an alarm as a signal to the LORD in those times of desperation. And ye shall be saved from your enemies was the promise.
The LORD is nigh unto His people as they call upon Him. It is both a signal to themselves that the LORD is with them and to the LORD to undertake to defend them. Amen.
