Philippians 3:10 The Fellowship of His Sufferings

Philippians 3:10 (KJV)  That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;

The Apostle Paul saw Christ as the pearl of great price which he was willing to follow even if it means suffering and ultimately, to be like Christ, to suffer the death on the cross.

Philippians 3:8-9 (KJV)  Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

In following the Lord, He suffered earthly losses. He esteemed Christ more than the things of the world. He suffered grave persecution for preaching the gospel. He was willing to suffer as Christ did, in laying down his life. He was a true disciple of Christ.

It was a wholehearted consecration to God’s praise and Hs glory. Amen.
