Psalm 34:19 Many Afflictions Complete Deliverance

Psalm 34:19 (KJV)  Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all. 

The righteous refers to all who have made right with God through Christ. Such is righteous.

The young Christian may ask, “Why is the Christian life so hard? From the time I became a Christian, life has become harder!”

The psalmist provided a ready answer by way of testimony to the faithfulness and power of God to help His own. Trials in the Christian’s life prove that God is real and He truly cares for His own! This is a statement of truth, a promise to God’s people.

Our text starts with “many”! A shuddering thought to be a Christian, let it not be because the Lord is with us to prove that His yoke is easy and His burden light. Amen.
