Romans 8:14 Led by the Spirit of God

Romans 8:14 (KJV)  For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

The Apostle Paul began his discourse in this chapter with the strong word of certainty to all believers – Romans 8:1 (KJV)  There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Such a life is in the sight of God blameless. There is none of God’s laws that indite one who is led by the Spirit of God.

He understands the battle between the flesh and the Spirit seeks the victory that God meant for him – Romans 8:2 (KJV)  For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

How marvelous it is the work of God in purging sin in our lives – Romans 8:3-4 (KJV)  For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

It is a sanctified choice to obey the Spirit of God’s leading. Let us, therefore, understand the benefit of choosing rightly – Romans 8:5-6 (KJV)  For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

Let us, therefore, choose life. Amen.
