Psalm 141:2 Prayer As Incense

Psalm 141:2 (KJV)  Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

Let our prayers ascend to heaven as incense lighted and the aroma of it permeate its premises. God hears our prayers as we lift them up to Him.

The prayer of a saint is a sacrifice because it is the heart-cry of the broken and afflicted. The prayer for strength to do the will of God will be heard.

The evening time is a time when one settles down to call it a day, after a day’s work. The evening sacrifice is a sacrifice of thanksgiving for the strength given for the day.

At times, the heart is still burdened at the close of the day, albeit, the soul may cast its burden upon the Lord. These will ascend to God in heaven.

The Lord gives rest for the burdened soul. Amen.
