1 Peter 1:5 Kept by the Power of God

1 Peter 1:5 (KJV)  Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

The promise of the life of faith in Christ is God’s abiding power. And this power manifests itself in the protection and preservation of the saints in Christ.

The psalmist thus testifies:

Psalm 37:28 (KJV)  For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.

Solomon also testifies:

Proverbs 2:8 (KJV)  He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints.

In the New Testament, the Apostle Paul declares likewise in Philippians 1:6 (KJV)  Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

We bow in adoration as we commit our care to our Almighty God against all odds – Jude 24-25 (KJV)  Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.
