John 1:4 In Him Was Life

John 1:4 (KJV) In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

In Jesus Christ was life. He is addressed as the Word that was in the beginning of no beginnings (John 1:1) and became flesh in the fullness of time to redeem sinful men (John 1:14).

Through Jesus Christ’s perfect life and His atoning sacrifice on the altar, life was given back to fallen men to come to Him by >His bidding. This life that Jesus Christ imparts was the light of men.

This is eternal life. He that hath the Son of God, Jesus Christ, hath life. Amen.
