2 Corinthians 1:3-4 The Father of Mercies

2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (KJV) Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; 4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

Blessed be God is the word of thanksgiving uttered forth from the thoughts of the Apostle Paul for the church in Corinth. He is the Father of mercies, and identified clearly as even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

He is the Father of mercies for by Him, cometh life and sustenance of life. He is there with His people to comfort them in all their tribulation. By the comfort the believer receives from the the Lord Jesus Christ, and enabled to comfort others too.

This is precious for this is truly the blessed life. Amen.
