Proverbs 16:6 Two Steps to Victory

Posted on Posted in Devotions Tagged with , ,

Proverbs 16:6 (KJV) By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil.

The word “iniquity” means the outworking of sin in crookedness or perverseness of life. Sin is purged by the mercy of God through the promised Messiah, the Christ.

It is by the fear of the LORD, that the purged ones, cleansed from their sin find strength in Him to depart from evil. To rest in the strength of the LORD to have victory.

Coming to Christ in contrition and consecration, having known the terror of the LORD, finds strength to be kept pure. Amen.
