Philippians 3:13-14 Reaching Forth Unto Those Things Which Are Before
Philippians 3:13-14 (KJV) Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, 14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
There is much work to be done in the Lord’s vineyard now and forward looking. The Apostle Paul, though imprisoned, sets his sight in accomplishing the Lord’s will in his remaining days.
He was determined by the grace of God to finish the course that the Lord has set for him. He will not look back nor count his endeavours for the Lord’s sake and to stop there.
Rather, he was reaching forth, even with diminishing strength, to be strengthened by the Lord, for every good and perfect work in His Name. Amen.
