Psalm 108:11-13 Give Us Help From Trouble

Psalm 108:11-13 (KJV) Wilt not thou, O God, who hast cast us off? and wilt not thou, O God, go forth with our hosts?
12 Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man. 13 Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.

Even though help seemed not forthcoming, the psalmist did not waiver in trusting the LORD in those moments of adversity. There was a battle before the psalmist.

And if the LORD will not deliver them, he knew they would be consumed. Vain is the help of man.

Therefore, he persisted, trusting the LORD, proclaimed, “Through God we shall do valiantly: for He it is that shall tread down our enemies.” Amen.
