Isaiah 25:4 For Thou Has Been
Isaiah 25:4 (KJV) For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.
The prophet Isaiah extolled the LORD. He presented how the LORD has been the strength of His people.
He singled out “the poor”, those who acknowledged they have no strength outside of Him, he has been a strength to them. These are those who cry out to Him in their distress.
He has and has been a refuge for them from the storm, protection from scourging pressures of the world, the flesh and the evil one. When they are pushed to a corner, he undertakes to deliver them. Amen.
