Psalm 57:1 In The Shadow Of Thy Wings

Psalm 57:1 (KJV) Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast.

The psalmist sought the LORD’s protection in dire times which he described as “calamities”. He sought the LORD by taking refuge in Him.

He renewed in trust in the LORD and sought for the LORD’S mercy upon him “until these calamities be overcast.”. As in the time of a storm, a strong shelter will protect from the raging elements.

The LORD is such a refuge throughout the vicissitudes of life. Let His people not fail to call upon Him. Amen.
