John 17:4 I Have Given Them Thy Word

John 17:14 (KJV) I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

Our Lord Jesus Christ has faithfully fulfilled the Father’s command to preach the gospel. Souls were saved.

These souls having been saved kept the Word of the Lord. They were persecuted, hated by the world as a result.

The word of commendation to these disciples of Christ under incarceration is this – because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world Amen.
