Psalm 25:4-5 On Thee Do I Wait All the Day

Psalm 25:4-5 (KJV) Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths. Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.

The blessedness of receiving God’s guidance in our lives is well established in the truth that the Psalmist waits upon his LORD all the day. His prayer is that the LORD will show him His ways and His paths of blessing, according to the truth.

His prayer was that he may understand the word of God and be taught by the Holy Spirit to the truth. He praised the God of his salvation. He has been gloriously saved, knowing his depravity and the Saviour has purchased him. He is eternally grateful.

He sought to walk with the LORD all the days of his life. What a blessing to learn and emulate the psalmist heart longing for the LORD, his God. Amen.
