Psalm 93:1-2 The LORD Reigneth

Psalm 93:1-2 (KJV) The LORD reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; the LORD is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself: the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved. Thy throne is established of old: thou art from everlasting.

How does the LORD reign? Clothed in majesty, with the emphasis of His infinite strength so He reigns. His throne is established of old from everlasting to everlasting, He reigneth. Indeed, the psalmist seeks for His people to behold the majesty that we may fear Him and love Him.

The psalmist’s emphasis of the LORD as Maker. He is the Creator, by Him the universe is established and is sustained. In other words, man and beast, plants and trees owe their existence and sustenance to His favour. And man is made to worship their Creator.

Let worship and praise be in the lips of His people to the honour and glory of our LORD and Saviour. Amen.
