Psalm 90:17 Establish Thou the Work of Our Hands

Psalm 90:17 (KJV)  And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.

The prayer of Moses acknowledges the frailties of man – Psalm 90:10-11 (KJV)  The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away. Who knoweth the power of thine anger? even according to thy fear, so is thy wrath.

In the short span of life, let it count for the LORD’s glory – Psalm 90:12 (KJV)  So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

It was the psalmist’s prayer that the beauty of the LORD, His glorious communicable attributes fill the lives of His people and that their lives may bring honour and glory to Him. His prayer was that the work of their hands be honouring to the LORD bringing forth fruit unto eternal life. Amen.
