Psalm 116:1-2 He Hath Heard My Voice

Psalm 116:1-2 (KJV)  I love the LORD, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications. Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.

The psalmist testified his love for the LORD. He gave the reason for it. Because the LORD answered his prayers. When he directed his cares and burdens in supplication, the LORD was at hand to hear his cry.

He was thankful for the answers to his prayer. He elaborated on his need – Psalm 116:3-5 (KJV)  The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell gat hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow. Then called I upon the name of the LORD; O LORD, I beseech thee, deliver my soul. Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful.

How will he express his love for the LORD? Psalm 116:17 (KJV)  I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the LORD.

It was in worship and thanksgiving. Amen.
