John 12:46 A Light Into the World

John 12:46 (KJV)  I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.

Jesus says, “John 12:46 (KJV)  I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.” This is a statement of blessing for the hearers who come to Jesus. He proclaimed that He is the Light!

John 1:4 (KJV)  In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

Light is an allusion to life, eternal life. Darkness is an allusion to sin, evil and eternal death. To believe in Jesus is to have eternal life because Jesus took our sins when He was crucified on the cross to bear our sins.

After Jesus died on the cross for our sins, He rose from the dead on the third day, triumphant over sin and death. Let this victory be yours when you come to Jesus for cleansing of sin by His precious blood and be restored to a right relationship with God. Amen.
