John 14:6 Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life

John 14:6 (KJV)  Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Coming to Jesus Christ brings us access to the Father in Heaven. This access speaks of communion and fellowship with a father as a son or daughter. This communion and fellowship have been cut off due to man’s sin. This separation is called spiritual or eternal death. And it happens and becomes permanent when a man faces physical death. As an orphan without parents is lost and estranged, so is a man without God.

To restore this vital familial relationship, Jesus Christ, the Son of God provides that access. So Jesus explains, “I am the way.” He is the way by which the broken relationship between man and God can be restored and renewed.

He is the truth for He truly is the way, the means, by which this reconciliation between man and God is effectual. Factually, there is no other access to God except through Jesus Christ. Scripture rightly pointed out and testified in Acts 4:12 (KJV)  Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

The Apostle Peter, one of Jesus’ disciples clearly explained in Acts 4:10-11 (KJV)  Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.

By Jesus Christ, is the reconciliation with the Father in heaven and the gift of eternal life where spiritual death is overcome and physical death is defeated in the glorification of the body at Christ’s Second Coming.

Let us come to Jesus and cast our every burden upon Him as He brings them before the Father on our behalf so that we may be truly strengthened and sustained. Amen.
