Colossians 1:16 By Him Were All Things Created

Colossians 1:16 (KJV)  For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: 

By Jesus Christ were all things created, testified the Apostle Paul, that are in heaven and that are in earth, the visible and the invisible. He is the authority that gives being to all things. All things exist by His creative act and by His permission.

This is the greatness of our Lord Christ, by Him all things were created and for His glory. Therefore, we are comforted to have our Lord superintending over our lives. For there are no powers, thrones, dominions or principalities that are above Him but all under His reign, as the Creator and Sustainer of the universe, and our Saviour and Lord.

Colossians 1:17 (KJV)  And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. 

Jesus is God. He entered human history in the incarnation to be born in human flesh, to be very man and yet He is very God. An unfathomable truth that blesses the heart of all so come to Him. For all who come to Him, there is rest for our souls. Peace and joy that He bestows. Amen.
