John 15:8 Ye Bear Much Fruit

John 15:8 (KJV)  Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

Our Lord seeks to see fruit in the lives of His dear ones. And the Lord also shows us that to bear fruit, we need to abide in Him – John 15:7 (KJV)  If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

The Lord reiterated in John 15:5 (KJV)  I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

For the believer, abiding in Christ involves taking time to dwell in the presence of God through His Word. When the fruit comes in its season, there is a time of cultivation and waiting before reaping and harvesting. Indeed, a joyous time! Amen.
