2 Timothy 1:10 Brought Life and Immortality to Light Through the Gospel

2 Timothy 1:10 (KJV)  But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:

The greatest event that the history of human existence must amplify is the way out of the misery of sin and the prospect of death, not just physical death but eternal death, through our Saviour Jesus Christ.

Jesus entering human history is the pivotal point, the culminating of events reaching its climax in His resurrection from the dead bringing life and immortality to the redeemed of God through Him. His birth, His life, His death, His resurrection and His ascension!

Coming to Christ, walking with God through Christ is the blessed state of the redeemed as the Apostle Paul share in 2 Timothy 1:9 (KJV)  Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began.

Thank God for His salvation grace! There is therefore a work for the redeemed:

2 Timothy 1:8 (KJV)  Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;

May His good word, the gospel of our salvation, be testified despite and in spite of afflictions by His grace. Amen.
