Psalm 73:25 None I Desire on Earth Beside Thee

Psalm 73:25 (KJV)  Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.

The psalmist realized in the final analysis of life that the LORD is the reliable Helper. Therefore, he resorted to coming to him in all his things. He has understood that one day he would be with the LORD in heaven. But while the LORD tarries and gives him life, the LORD will not forsake him but will be his strong tower through the vicissitudes of life.

He can call to the heavenly Father and find recourse and comfort in every situation that confronts him in his earthly life. He has learned to cast his burden upon the LORD and allow the LORD to call them for him. He is happy to dwell in the LORD’s presence through his communion with the LORD in prayer.

He experienced the peace in his heart that the LORD gave him that he cannot explain. That encouraged his heart to keep praying and trusting Him. He learned to pray and bring his specific ailments and anxieties to the LORD. The LORD allayed his fears and strengthened his heart.

Praise the LORD for His wonderful care. Amen.
