Proverbs 18:10 Our Strong Tower

Proverbs 18:10 (KJV)  The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.

We have a strong tower in the LORD. His Name articulates Who He is, it speaks of His attributes.

To Abram, after 24 years in Canaan, still without a promised child, when the womb of Sarah his wife is closed, the LORD came to Him to affirm His ability to fulfil His Word!

Genesis 17:1 (KJV)  And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.

And Joseph, the man who is righteous in the sight of God is promised His eternal blessings – Genesis 49:22-26 (KJV)  Joseph is a fruitful bough, even a fruitful bough by a well; whose branches run over the wall: The archers have sorely grieved him, and shot at him, and hated him: But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob; (from thence is the shepherd, the stone of Israel:) Even by the God of thy father, who shall help thee; and by the Almighty, who shall bless thee with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lieth under, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb: The blessings of thy father have prevailed above the blessings of my progenitors unto the utmost bound of the everlasting hills: they shall be on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of him that was separate from his brethren.

In the pit, the LORD rescued him, in prison, the LORD kept him, in the palace the LORD prospered him. In the LORD indeed is safety, when we will choose to fear Him and obey His righteous laws. Amen.
