James 1:25 Not a Forgetful Hearer

James 1:25 (KJV)  But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. 

God’s law gives protection and freedom to His people. Understanding the truth concerning the blessing of the law of God, we are exhorted to not forget but be avid doers of the Word.

The diligent doer is blessed by God. He is diligent to keep the laws of God in his heart so that they may be his constant guide.

Daniel speaks of the blessing when he said in Daniel 12:3 (KJV)  And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. 

When we obey God’s law, we set ourselves as an example to be a witness for His glory. Amen.
