Matthew 5:9 Blessed Are the Pure In Heart

Matthew 5:8-9 (KJV)  Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

God blesses the pure in heart. A vessel of honour, the pure in heart, approaches God in the righteousness of Christ, undergirded by a holy disposition, and finds favour with God. Such one beholds the glory of God.

What a blessing to walk with God. Recall our Lord began with the man that is poor in spirit, a man of a contrite heart who trembleth at His word is one that sees God. A man who mourns for his sin, fully aware of his inadequacies is one who will finally see God.

1 John 1:8-9 (KJV)  If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

There is a tenacity to yield to the Spirit’s guidance and there is a wisdom that the Word of God imparts – 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (KJV) All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Amen.
