Philippians 4:8 Think on These Things

Philippians 4:8 (KJV)  Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

This message is given to all believers in Christ, born-again into the kingdom of God whom God has given a new mind by the divine act of the new birth, the spiritual rebirth. Not only to maintain the new mind that God has given to us but keep it pure and maintain it in an undefiled state as best we can from the corruption of the world.

This is the call to think-worthy thoughts, this is a call to proper meditation and right beliefs and pure thoughts.

For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Proverbs 23:7a (KJV)

Paul prioritises the mind in pursuing practical godliness and daily holiness. Let us, therefore, seek this daily renewal through the meditation of the Scriptures. Amen.
