Psalm 31:7 Be Glad and Rejoice In Thy Mercy

Psalm 31:7 (KJV) I will be glad and rejoice in thy mercy: for thou hast considered my trouble; thou hast known my soul in adversities;

The undeserved favour of God upon His people is cause for gladness and rejoicing in their hearts. The psalmist acknowledged that the LORD is aware of his predicament and adversities and has shown Himself caring and strong to fend for him.

Affirming his trust in the LORD, he testified in Psalm 31:1 In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness. He affirmed the interest of the LORD in faithfulness to His Word, to uphold His righteousness and therefore continue to rest in Him.

Through it all, he gave a strong note of encouragement to trust in the LORD – Psalm 31:24 (KJV)  Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.

Amen.
