1 John 1:1-3 The Word of Life

1 John 1:1-3 (KJV)  1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; 2 (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) 3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

The witness of the Apostle John that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Believing in Him, we receive eternal life. Praise God for his testimony. He testified that he has personally fellowship with the Word of Life, our Lord Jesus Christ, who came in human flesh as a man, the Son of God.

Another disciple Peter, also testified to encourage our faith in Jesus Christ, “Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:” This is the substance of our faith, having not seen, we believe. This is most blessed in the sight of God.

The Lord strengthen the hearts of His people to take hold of Jesus Christ and to bear witness to the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ to an unbelieving world for His glory. Amen.
