Romans 4:23-25 Raised Again For Our Justification

Romans 4:23-25 (KJV)  Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him; But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.

The resurrection from the dead, the spirit of holiness that dealt with human sin, the cross of humiliation and shame that our Lord Jesus bore on our behalf, and the power of God that raised Jesus from the dead, justifies every sinner.

The prophet Isaiah expressed well our need of the Saviour – Isaiah 53:6 (KJV)  All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

Isaiah 53:5 (KJV)  But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Thank God that in Christ, we find healing and salvation from the ravages of sin. Amen.
