John 15:11 Your Joy Might Remain In You

John 15:11 (KJV)  These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.

Loving and obeying the commandments of God brings joy to the heart and a cultivated spirit of love and obedience to God’s Word brings fullness of joy – John 15:10 (KJV)  If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.

Acknowledging God’s love that the believer possesses is a heavenly gift, let us pray that His love may abound to enable and bless. This is the believer’s strength for life to bless and strengthen one another.

Jesus sets for us the example in willingly obeying the Father’s commandments to our blessings in both His life and His death – Luke 22:42-43 (KJV)  Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him.

Praise God for His holy angels ministering comfort and strength to His people in our times of need. Amen.
