Psalm 71:8 Thy Praise and Thy Honour

Psalm 71:8 (KJV)  Let my mouth be filled with thy praise and with thy honour all the day.

Praising and honouring the Lord with our mouth is the exhortation of the psalmist. His prayer is that the Lord will be gracious to grant him to do so, all the day. He guards his thoughts and calms his heart to look to Him always for strength.

When we abide in the Lord, He strengthens us with His wisdom, granting us the grace to walk in His way. His way indeed is perfect. We rejoice in walking with God. His pathway is peace and our footsteps are sure.

As such, there can only be praise and the Lord’s Name is indeed honoured. May the Lord help us to keep close to Him this new day. Amen.
