Matthew 5:6 Being Filled

Matthew 5:6 (KJV)  Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

The seeker of God has an insatiable appetite for the things of God. Our Lord Jesus illustrates how the hungry and thirsty soul is satisfied. It fervently seeks after and is graciously filled. Seeking after God is the natural response of an awakened soul.

There are multiple blessings awaiting the seeker.

Come and dine the Master calleth come and dine

You may feast at Jesus’s table all the time

He who fed the multitude turned the water into wine

To the hungry now He calleth “Come and dine.”

This was the call of the resurrected Christ to the disciples at the shores of Galilee. It’s the Master, the disciples exclaimed.

John 21:12-14 (KJV)  Jesus saith unto them, Come and dine. And none of the disciples durst ask him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord. Jesus then cometh, and taketh bread, and giveth them, and fish likewise. This is now the third time that Jesus shewed himself to his disciples, after that he was risen from the dead.

What a blessing to sup with our Master! Amen.
