Psalm 62:1 Truly My Soul Waiteth Upon God

Psalm 62:1 (KJV)  To the chief Musician, to Jeduthun, A Psalm of David. Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation.

The waiting soul rests in the provision of God. Looking at none other, not distracted, not wandering, but single-mindedly hoping in God. This is a soul made alive to the power and presence of God. Awakened to the truth that its life is but imparted life, graciously given.

From Him cometh salvation. From Him comes deliverance from every trouble. Coming to understand the dynamics that work for his well-being, He extols, “Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from Him cometh my salvation.”

Psalm 62:5 (KJV)  My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.

He is the Giver and Sustainer of all life. Therefore, truly, our expectation is from Him. He only is the Determinator of life. Thank God that we can draw near to Him and find life through Him. Amen.
