2 Peter 1:3 Life and Godliness

2 Peter 1:3 (KJV)  According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

The life of God in the soul of man imparts life and godliness, glory, and virtue. Such power is supernatural, it is divine power working as man fellowships with God.

Abraham is called the friend of God. He was given insight into God’s plan to destroy the city of Sodom.

Jesus says to His disciples in John 15:15-16 (KJV)  Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you. Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

To have one’s prayers answered because it is in tandem with the will of God. The Lord uses the diligent study of His Word to illumine and guide His people. As we meditate upon His Word with much prayer, the Lord shows His holy will for our guidance. All praise and glory to Him. Amen.
