John 1:16 Beneficiary

John 1:16 (KJV)  And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. 

It was revealed to us by the Apostle John that Jesus before His incarnation, in the beginning of no beginnings, exists. Because He is God.

John 1:3-4 (KJV)  All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

He is also the Creator of all things and especially the Giver of life to men. We owe our existence and life to Him.

Hence, of His fullness have all we received. Such blessing of sustenance moment by moment is indeed the grace or unmerited favour of Jesus upon us. And this we received constantly and for the people of God we may say as the psalmist in Psalm 23:6 (KJV)  Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever. Amen.
