James 5:8 Patience and Strength Of Hearts

James 5:8 (KJV)  Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh. 

As the days leading to the coming of the Lord draweth nigh, the people of God are exhorted to patiently exercise faith and trust God to work out His perfect plan and will.

There seemed to be an element of postponement and delay, that’s the outlook without faith. But for the people of God, we are exhorted to patiently wait for God to fulfil His righteous plan. There is a need of an element of expectancy that God will accomplish His Word.

Begin to exercise patience under sometimes unbearable moments for the people of God to stand firm in Him. But stand firm we must. Let us stablish our hearts, that is, strengthen it by drawing nigh to Him through His Word with prayer and let it strengthen us to withstand the heat of the day. Amen.
