Psalm 22:26 The Meek Shall be Satisfied

Psalm 22:26 (KJV)  The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the LORD that seek him: your heart shall live for ever.

The meek are fed by the Lord Himself because he delights to do the will of God. The psalmist testified Psalm 37:3-5 (KJV)  Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

The vital connection with God through personal communion in public and private worship is pleasing to our God. To be satisfied is to be filled. There is a joy attached to the life of the meek that is being proclaimed – they shall praise the LORD for they are ever looking unto Him.

Such a heart has vitality and liveliness – John 1:4 (KJV)  In him was life; and the life was the light of men. Amen.
