Isaiah 25:1 Faithfulness and Truth

Isaiah 25:1 (KJV)  O LORD, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.

The counsels of God are faithfulness and truth. It is free from falsehood and it is founded upon an unchanging foundation. In other words, it is reliable and can be trusted.

When we have God’s Word to guide us, and we would walk by it, it rejoices the heart.

The psalmist says in Psalm 147:11 (KJV)  The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.

God guides and leads His people through the counsel of His Word. The fear of God enables the psalmist to obey it. The LORD is there to do wonderful things for the good of His people who walk with Him.

The response of His people is praise to the Name of the LORD. Amen.
