Revelation 6:7-8; Famine then Death
Revelation 6:7-8 And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see. And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.
The pale colour of the third horse, Swindoll observed, indicates a “yellowish green”, the sickly colour of illness and death.
The 4th horseman has two features – he has a name “Death” and another horse called “Hell” followed him.
It is observed that death does not end-all. After death is the judgment! After death is hell and judgment.
Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
We see the carnage a quarter of the world’s population wiped out.
Hebrews 9:28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
Praise the Lord for His mercy upon the saved in Christ who will escape the judgment to come. Amen.
