2 Corinthians 1:8, Pressed Out of Measure

2 Corinthians 1:8 For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength, insomuch that we despaired even of life:

The Apostle Paul highlighted to the Corinthian church not just of the afflictions and comforts he received in Christ but the fact the persecutions and sufferings became even more severe.

The severity of the affliction that pressed him out of measure, more than he could ordinarily endure, to the point where he despaired of his own life. He thought he would have lost his life in that ordeal. God spared him.

Thank God for His sufficient grace. Amen.
