Romans 15:33, God of Peace Be With You

Romans 15:33 Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen.

Observe that God is the source of spiritual blessing. Of patience and comfort, of hope that brings joy and peace and finally the giver of peace.

Romans 15:5, 13, 33  Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus: 13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost…33 Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen.

Zodhiates recorded in the Complete Word Study Dictionary of the New Testament, “”The God of peace” means the Author and Giver of blessedness.” The meaning of it is articulated in these verses:

Romans 16:20 And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

Philippians 4:9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

1 Thessalonians 5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

God’s peace comes when sin is subdued in the believer’s life. This is a prayer for the fruit of peace in the believer’s life. May it be so. Amen.
