Hebrews 4:14 (KJV) Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.

Our Lord Jesus’ ascension to heaven to be at the right hand of the Father. What is Jesus’ role in heaven?

He is as the writer of Hebrews testified, as the “Great High Priest”, to be the believer’s Advocate before the Father in the heaven.

Unlike earthly high priest in Israel, Jesus continues forever, as the unchanging and unchangeable Advocate for the interest of His people that they may rest in Him. Let us hold fast our profession is the encouragement. Amen.
