Psalm 52:8-9 (KJV) But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God forever and ever.
9 I will praise thee forever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints.

What is it that the LORD has done for the psalmist? He has lifted the afflictions of the afflicted of God’s people.

In the midst of grave persecution, the psalmist speaks of being like a greed olive tree in the house of God. Staying close to the LORD, He experienced the mercy of God and in thanksgiving, he praise the LORD and extol Him for His mercy toward him.

In future experiences, he resolved to wait on the LORD, as a testify and witness before the saints. Amen.
