Psalm 33:20-22 Our Soul Waiteth For The LORD

Psalm 33:20-22 (KJV) Our soul waiteth for the LORD: he is our help and our shield. 21 For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name. 22 Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.

The psalmist in his present predicament sought the LORD for His help and protection. He knows the LORD does not fail him.

For my heart shall rejoice in Him is his experience each time he exercised faith and trusted in the LORD. The holy Name of the LORD is a reflection of Who He is – His holy character.

He pleaded for the mercy of the LORD as he reflected upon all his inadequacies. He hoped in the mercy of the LORD. Amen.
