Hebrews 10:20, 22 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

Through Christ, the veil that separates the holy place and the holy of holies in the temple has been broken, so that sinners washed by Christ’s shed blood on the cross at Calvary can come nigh God. Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith.

This is the new and living way that Christ opened for the sinner that he or she may be a priest before God to go right in to the mercy seat in the holy of holies.

The priest has to wash himself before entering the holy place. This cleansing of the old man is done by way of the Holy Spirit and His Word. Amen.
