John 1:12-13 Even To Them That Believe

John 1:12-13 (KJV) But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Faith justifies a sinner before a holy God. This faith is objective, it is in the name of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

As many as received Him gave He power to become the sons of God! This is the promise of eternal life, the abundant life promised to every born again child of God.

Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man but of God. The energising power of the indwelling Holy Spirit affirming the believer’s adoption. Amen.
